Delivered in partnership with Environmental Resources Limited this course provides training for sites with multiple HSNO Classifications (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8) in line with the Hazardous Substance Regulations that came into effect on 1st December 2017. Any staff who handle, store or use hazardous substances, regardless of the quantities, will now require to be trained under Regulation 4.5.
For sites with Class 6: Toxic Substances 6.1A and/or 6.1B
The Comprehensive Chemical HSWA training does not provide HSWA Certified Handler Certification, however Comprehensive Chemical HSWA training is a prerequisite to become a HSWA Certified Handler. This can be discussed with the trainer when attendee is at the Comprehensive Chemical HSWA training.

Training is taking place at Dangerous Goods Management, 39 Richard Pearse Drive, Airport Oaks.

– Attendees to this course will be required to show a form of photo ID at the course (driver’s licence, passport or 18+ card).

Certificate awarded:
On successful completion of this course attendees will be issued the following certification:
– HSWA Comprehensive: Certificate of Training – Validity of Certification 36 months (3 years)

If trainees have difficulties during the course they should not hesitate to talk to the training facilitator.
Cancellation/transfer terms:
– Should a course transfer be required, this will be provided free of charge for the first transfer only, ensuring advised prior to 7 days before the course. All subsequent transfers for a course booking will result in a $50+GST administration fee under the same conditions. Course attendance must be completed within six months of the initial booking.
– Cancellations or course transfers made on or after Wednesday, 18th June, 2025 will be subject to a $200+GST cancellation/transfer fee. Cancellations/transfers within 48 hours of the course date or non-attendance, once registered, will incur full course cost.
– DGM endeavour to ensure all courses proceed, however should re-scheduling of a course become necessary, participants will be informed as soon as possible to minimise any inconvenience.
