Course facilitator: SPS Biosecurity Limited

This course covers SEA & Air Training for Accredited Person (AP).

If your company imports sea or air containers, Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) requires you to have an Accredited Person (AP) available when containers are opened and unpacked.

APs perform a vital role in keeping New Zealand free of pests by knowing how to deal with biosecurity issues should and when they arise.

Overview: This is a SEA & Air Training for Accredited Person course which has a focus on the sea container sites with an overview for Transitional Facilities that may also get air containers.

Documentation required: Attendees to this course will be required to show a form of photo ID at the course

  • Passport (if you are not born in NZ), also proof they can work in NZ – working visa.

Attendee required: The person who attends this course must have a basic understanding of both written and spoken English.

Certificate awarded and post-course requirements: A Certificate of Training will be awarded on successful completion of this course.

On receipt of Certificate of Training attendees will then require to submit an Application for Appointment as an Accredited Person to MPI.

Course refreshments: Water, tea and coffee only.
