This is a Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry Approved “Accredited Person” biosecurity course for the handling of Sea Containers imported from all Countries. It is designed for operators of a Transitional Facility and ALL people involved in the devanning process. After the successful completion of this course you will be issued with an “Accredited Person Certificate” by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. This will then enable you to be compliant as per the requirements of the Biosecurity Amendment Act 2003.

• Overview of Biosecurity
• Understanding the Biosecurity risks associated with sea containers
• Identification of insects, pests, possible contamination sites etc
• The Import Health Standards for Sea Containers from All Countries
• Responsibilities:

• What to do when you locate a risk
